Fat Vs Muscle

Fat does not weigh more than Muscle! Muscle is simply more dense than fat, and takes up on average 15% less space.
 

Building muscle is far harder than it is to lose fat.
 
How long does it take to build muscle?
 
In your first year of training/exercise,
 
Average Natural MAN: between 1-2 pounds of muscle gained per month.

Average Natural WOMAN: between 0.5-1 pound of muscle gained per month.
 
Your ability to build muscle then Decrease on average 50% each year after. (These are averages, and can vary on individual factors specific to you.)

Fat loss however is far easier to achieve. Fat loss does not require a stimulus (progressive overload), neither does it require optimal protein intake. Fat loss requires a calorie deficit. (Burn more than you consume)
