QUINOA Technically a seed and therefore known a pseudo-grain| A complete protein, with all 9 essential amino acids, making it a great option for vegetarians/vegans. Low FODMAP option. .High in fibre Source of B vitamins and vitamin E. Good source of minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, zinc, iron and folate. MILLET A good source of protein and fibre. Low FODMAP option. BUCKWHEAT Despite its name, buckwheat is not related to wheat, it is another pseudo-grain. Good source of fibre and resistant starch. Rich source of manganese, copper, magnesium, iron and phosphorus. CORN 🌾 🌽 An excellent source of fibre. Makes a tasty snack that is 100% wholegrain and low in calories. Low FODMAP. Packed with important nutrients like iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorous and zinc (to name a few) BROWN RICE Unlike white rice, brown rice is a whole grain because it contains all parts of the grain. This makes brown rice a higher source of fibre than white rice. It also provides several vitamins and minerals. Low FODMAP TEFF Rich source of calcium 🥛 and protein: High in fibre. High In resistant starch. Low FODMAP. Great source of iron, thiamin and manganese. It contains 8 of the 9 essential amino acids, it’s almost a complete protein! Other gluten free whole grains: sorghum and amaranth, which are both nutrient dense options!
