BCAA’s (Branch Chain Amino Acids) The worst overhyped, marketed supplement! What are Amino Acids? Amino acids are organic compounds that combine to form proteins. Amino acids and proteins are the building blocks of life. The human body has 21 different amino acids. 9 of these aminos are classed as Essential Amino Acids. Essential Amino acids are vitality important as our body’s can’t produce them ourselves. We can only absorb them through nutrition / food. What are BCAA’s? Three key amino acids • Leucine • Isoleucine • Valine That help with ‘protein synthesis’, the building of muscle. The missing information regards to amino acids, is that the body requires all 9 amino acids for protein synthesis (building of muscle). Most of the shelf Amino Acids / BCAA’s are made out of pig hair and duck feathers. DISGUSTING RIGHT! What’s worse is that you pay a small fortune for a supplement that is pretty pointless!
