🍯Five popular sweeteners. When we look at the macros they don’t differ a lot. Some of these may contain a bit more vitamins and minerals compared to regular table sugar. However this amount is negligible, because you have to consume very high amounts of these sugars to enjoy the benefits of the vitamins and minerals. Besides that, it’s not a great idea to get your minerals and vitamins from sugar. ___ Honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar and so on are all classified as free sugar. It can definitely be enjoyed, as part of a balanced and varied diet with enough physical activity. All of these have a nice place in my pantry. No food or nutrient is healthy nor unhealthy, it's the overall pattern of food that a person eats what's more important to a healthy diet than focusing on single foods.
